LATIN SUPERSTAR JENNI RIVERA DIES IN PLANE CRASH


43-year-old Latin superstar, mother of five children and grandmother of two, Jenni Rivera died alongside four other passengers and two pilots on Sunday, December 9 in Mexico after the plane she was flying on crashed shortly after takeoff, leaving no survivors.
It was headed from Monterrey to Toluca, after Rivera performed in Monterrey on Saturday night. Rivera's father and brother confirmed her death on Telemundo.
Rivera who recently divorced from her third husband was named one of the 25 most powerful women by People en EspaƱol. She has sold over 20 million albums worldwide.

Her family released a  press statement saying

“We are feeling devastated. It’s a devastation to the family,” Rivera’s brother, Pedro Rivera Jr., told E! News. “We don’t know how to thank you for all the love you gave to Jenni and to all the family. It is just so special to have you guys as fans.”
