 The internet was abuzz with the story of Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo sent his mother-in-law, Mrs Abigail Igwe Fashanu packing from his home for interfaring in his marriage but the footballer has come out to state that its not true via his publicist Aloba Atanda of Maestro Media
''There's is no iota of truth in the report that has gained grounds of recent. There was no encounter of the such that was described to have happened between my mother-in-law and I. We as a family are in the best of place in our lives currently. Someone from some place, just sat down and decided to construct a lie, a total fabrication from their own imagination.                                                                                              
"I love my wife very much, nothing anyone does can bring any division between us and between our families. There was never a time that I sent my Mother-in-Law packing from my home for being a bad influence on her own daughter, who is my wife. How can people just come up with stories about what never happened.
The Yobos and the Fashanus have a great relationship, a fantastic one at that and very good mutual respect for each other, and we thank God for that.

 When news broke that Super Eagles and Orduspor midfielder, Yusuf Ayila, abandoned his wife and kids in Ukraine and eloped with his girlfriend  a lot of people were quick to condemn him and calling him all sorts of names, but the mildfielder has come out to say what lead to their separation in an exclusive interview with NigeriaFilms, according to Ayila he left his wife Gbemisola after he found some charms in her wardrobe which she used to charm him. ‘Firstly, I’ll like to state categorically that Gbemisola is not my legal wife as widely reported. She is the mother of my two kids. We met years back and started a casual date.The trouble started when I asked her to bring my children for holiday in Ukraine. One day, while I lived with her, I opened Gbemi’s wardrobe in Ukraine and found different charms, including a snake inside a bottle filled with gin. It was a confirmation of the feelers I got from family and friends that she is fetish and had been using charms on me. I felt uncomfortable living under the same roof with her. In view of this development, I told her to return to Nigeria, to which she refused. At that point, I told her I can’t cope with her bad habit anymore; that she had to go back to Nigeria or I’ll leave the house for her.

 A few days ago, MediaTakeOut posted some incriminating photos of NFL star Kerry Rhodes on vacation with his former assistant, Russell Simpson, and implied that Kerry's assistant was his gay partner. Kerry called into TMZ shortly after the photos leaked and denied he was gay. He told TMZ:
Photos have been circulating of my former assistant and I that have caused some rumors regarding my sexuality, and I want to address the situation. I am not gay. It was rumored last week that four players in the NFL are considering coming out as gay in a group sometime soon, but Kerry said he's not one of them. A few days after the interview with TMZ, Kerry's former assistant, Russell has hit him hard.

TARIBO WEST REPLIES OSAZE ODEMWINGIE SAYS THE LAST TIME YOU MET ME WAS IN 2008, SO WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT ME?

 

Taribo West has responded to Osaze Odemwingie’s rant on Twitter  and from the look of things Taribo is not happy about Osaze’s tweet.  Osaze went on twitter and tweeted that football administrators had failed to treat former international stars right, citing late striker Rashidi Yekini, Femi Opabunmi and Taribo as examples. “Yekini, (may his soul RIP) our legend died in poverty…Femi Opabunmi lost his sight and struggling to feed now…T. West I heard not so comfortable and few others,” Osaze said.

Taribo’s reply below

“It is embarrassing to read such comments about me in the newspapers. The last time he probably saw me was in 2008, so what does he know about me?

“Have I asked him for money before? God has been kind to me and my ministry and I have not begged anybody for money. I am doing well; I am not broke and never will be till Christ comes. In Christ, I have everything, so I am not lacking. I think he has lost track and needs to get himself together. “He should shut up and focus on his career instead of insulting his seniors all the time. He needs to respect his elders. His utterances smacks of indiscipline and unprofessionalism. He should apologise to everyone he’s been abusing on Twitter because if he continues like this, he will not go far.”

Comments on Twitter were not the best way to fight the cause of Nigeria’s ex-footballers. “If he is fighting for ex-players, then that is not how to go about it. He should come home and fight those who are not helping the footballers.

“How many ex-footballers has he helped? How can he stay in England and fight for a cause in Nigeria? He should join his seniors and fight for their cause because his approach has no foundation,”

I NEVER SAID I WILL NOT PLAY FOR NIGERIA' - OSAZE ODEMWINGIE

 "I have a lot of respect for my country (Nigeria). I will always honour the invitation if called upon. I never said I will not play for Nigeria, I was misunderstood. People should always wait to hear from me personally" Osaze Odemwingie said today during a telephone conversation with sports radio, Brilla FM. 

Osaze made this statement after Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, said last week that Osaze told him he is no longer interested in   playing  for the National team because of the way he was treated in the past, saying  he played in all the qualifying games but was dropped at the finals.
