KUKERE CROONER IYANYA AND HIS MANAGER CHARGED BY POLICE OVER N1.7 MILLION PERFORMANCE FEE


Kukere master Iyanya and his manager, Ubi Franklin, are in police mess for not performing at Nite of a Thousand laughter shows held in Port Harcourt and Benin after they were paid the sum of  N1.7 million from, Opa Williams the show organiser. According to reports Iyanya missed both shows because he got to PH late according to him, but sources said he traveled to PH alongside rapper Olamide and comedian Bovi, on the same flight paid for by the organisers.
Opa Williams. filed reported the case at the Mile 3 division Police station in Port Harcourt. Iyanya and his manager were later invited by policemen from the Mile 3  Station on Wednesday  over the case.
His manager,Ubi Franklin confirmed he went to the station and gave an  an account of what really happened.

“Yes I was at the Police Station this morning, we have decided to return all money paid to us, it’s not a problem. We were paid to attend and perform at the Benin and Port Harcourt shows but we missed both due to reasons beyond our control. We missed the Benin gig because we were in Ghana as at that time and we arrived pretty late for the PH gig. We however had issues with initial payment from the show organizers also.”
