WOMAN, COMMIT SUICIDE BY JUMPING INTO OSUN RIVER AFTER GIVING BIRTH TO TWINS AND GIVING MONEY TO BEGGARS

One word that comes to my mind is post natal depression  according to the Punch

A woman, Mrs. Sekinat Akewusola, on Thursday jumped into Osun River. It was learnt that the woman jumped into the river from the bridge located at Oke-Gada, Ede, minutes after giving money to some beggars.
Some of the beggars said they saw the woman when she jumped into the river.
Head, Disaster Management Unit, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Mr. Olaniyi Babalola, confirmed the development.
He told our correspondent that the slippers and a veil worn by the deceased described as a devout Muslim were recovered from the bridge, adding that the search for her corpse was still in progress.
Babalola said, “Her husband said that there was no crisis in the family. He said her wife was taking their first child to school when the incident happened. We gathered that she prayed on the bridge before jumping into the river.”
It was gathered that some passersby and beggars stopped the husband from jumping into the river when he visited the scene.
Babalola said, “Investigation to determine the cause of the suicide is on. We will leave no stone unturned in the process to unearth the cause of the incident.
“We are still looking for her corpse and we have intensified our search in that regard.”

  1. I am sure she was a victim of domestic violent, I don't believe a word of what her husband said.Take aside their oppressive religion towards women, I am in the same situation. a man doesn't have to lay his hands on u before its called an abuse, they make u less than who and what God made u to be, they use all kinds of intimitaditin ways to reduce u to nothing, they make u enemy to all even their family. In fact I myself need someone to talk to. I am scared of facing the life alone with 6 children, but my husband and his family are so...... Disrespectful to me and my kids. He values his mother and siblings to me and our children. Some times I too feel like living this world. May her soul rest in peace.
