president Jonathan today sent a letter to the senate nominating Justice Alooma Mukthar as Chief Justice of Nigeria, he also nominated Justice Clara Ogunbiyi and Justice Musa Mohammed as Justices of the Supreme Court.
If eventually appointed,Mukthar as will be the first female chief Justice of Nigeria. Mukhtar hails from Kano State, she is the first female Justice of the Supreme
Court she was born in 1944 and was called to the English Bar 1966 and later called to the Nigeria bar in June 1967
