FIRST LADY PATIENCE JONATHAN BECOMES PERMANENT SECRETARY



Mrs Patience Jonathan, First Lady if Nigeria yesterday made history when she was appointed Permanent secretary in a state civil service.  This makes her the first First Lady to be appionted in to civil service in Nigeria.
The announcement was broadcasted on the state radio Station yesterday evening, 11 July 2012,  Mrs Jonathan along with 17 other were appointed Permanent Secretary by the governor of Bayelsa state Governor Seriake Dickson, 
According to the senior special assistant to the governor on media, Mr Daniel Iworiso-Markson, the reason for the appointment was that the First Lady was a teacher in the state and has being on leave of absence since 1999 to join her husband in his political services, she also worked also worked in the River State Ministry of Education before her husband became deputy governor and later governor of the state.

SMH, i wonder how she intend to combine her duties as  First Lady of Nigeria and constant travelling  with this new appointment?
