Good times and success are really coming the way of Vickie Roberts Okere, CEO of Vickie Roberts Hospitality, as she has just been appointed as Star Children Initiative Disability Ambassador and Media Consultant in the United Kingdom and Nigeria.
Star Children Development Initiative (SCDI) a Nigerian based registered charity organisation that raises awareness about the challenges faced by children with disabilities between age 0-21 and their families with the aim of safeguarding the well-being of these children picked her based on her professionalism and diligence.
SCDI as part of their activities also offer support for these children and their families with the aim of working in partnership with other stake holders to promote good quality of life for the children.
Her new role includes raising awareness in the Uk and Nigeria, organizing Fundraising events, Speaking and carrying out Training/workshops on disability issues. This appointment is well deserved and i have no doubt vickie will add value and do tremendous job as a Disability Ambassador at Star Children Initiative UK/Nigeria.
Vickie Robert, a registered Nurse in Learning Disability with over ten years hands on experience in General and Mental health Nursing, is a member of Royal College Of Nursing UK and is active on the live Register of the Nursing and Midwifery Council UK.
She is currently working as a school Nurse with children who have various medical, emotional and physical challenges.
Vickie is married with two lovely children.
