Now sources say that the designer is dating 27-year-old Olympic champion figure skater Evan Lysacek, who moved into her Beverly Hills mansion last month.
Although the president of Ms Wang's company, Mario Grauso, commented on the recent split as amicable, the Daily News has announced that 'there is something going on' between the 63-year-old designer and the young ice skater.
Over the past week, many unnamed 'sources' have come forward, telling the New York Post that the couple 'used to fight all the time in public, even at dinner. They would berate each other in front of other people.'

The Daily News added to its alleged report, quoting a source as saying: 'Wang is "just enamoured  with him and enjoys his company."'
As these photos show, Ms Wang and Mr Lysacek have known each other for a number of years.
The designer and figure skater worked together in 2009 and 2010 on several of his skating outfits.

Ms Wang, a former figure skater herself, has helped create outfits for other athletes, such as Michelle Kwan, in the past.
The Daily News reported that she is working on future ensembles for Mr Lysacek, which is dependent on his skating career.
The Chicago native did not skate competitively in 2010-2011, however he did not announce his retirement either, and has slowly returned to the ice.
He trains at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo, California, which is approximately 25 minutes from Beverly Hills.
The Daily News source reported that he moved into Ms Wang’s Beverly Hills mansion last month, with the designer offering Mr Lysacek the opportunity 'to stay there for a while.'
LAst week, the president of Ms Wang's company, Mario Grauso, said in a statement, 'Vera Wang and Arthur Becker have mutually and amicably agreed to separate. They remain devoted parents to their two daughters.'
Their separation came two weeks shy of their 23rd wedding anniversary; the now 63-year-old designer was 39 when she wed Mr Becker, a computer executive who has become increasingly involved with the Vera Wang brand over the years.

The couple married at the Hotel Pierre in 1989 after becoming informally engaged in 1988 during a trip to Hawaii, and have two daughters, Cecilia and Josephine.
In 2006, Ms Wang described her marriage as a surprise to New York magazine.
She said: 'I was the girl who nobody thought would ever get married. I was going to be a fashion nun the rest of my life. There are generations of them, those fashion nuns, living, eating, breathing clothes.
'But Ralph [Lauren] said, "Get yourself a husband and a family." Anna [Wintour] said, "You have got to get a family going here. You’ve been single for three decades now." So I married my husband.
'There are days I’m not happy I did it, but there are days I’m thrilled - I mean, he has always understood my nature, which is that it’s always about product.
