MISS GLOBAL NIGERIA FINAL SCREENING HOLDS AT PUB 1

The much talked about final screening of the 2013 Miss Global Nigeria beauty pageant will hold on Wednesday, July 10th at the eyebrow hangout, Pub 1 situated on 1 Adekunle Fajuyi Street, by Cantonment Gate, Leventis Bus Stop, Maryland, Lagos at 10am prompt.
According to a statement by the Pageant Manager, Faith Irabor the choice of Pub 1 as the final screening venue for this year`s event is to leverage on the fact that, the pageant is one of Nigeria`s best in the tradition of beauty contest and Pub 1 being an A-list venue come handy as one of our sponsors.
Interested girls-next-door willing to be part of the 2013 event can still pay the sum of N5000 in any Zenith Bank across the nation in favour of Miss Global Nigeria account No.: 1012298052 on or before the screening date or make the payment at the venue.
Bevy of beautiful girls who have passed through the first round of screening on line will storm the venue from across the country to be part of the concluding hurdle that will herald to accommodating them for the one week camping in a 5-star hotel and from there the grand finale that will produce the eventual winner in Lagos.

PHOTOS: 5 UNILAG STUDENTS INVOLVED IN FATAL CAR CRASH AT AIRPORT ROAD IKEJA, 3 DIED INSTANTLY, OTHERS HOSPITALIZED (VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED)

Five students of the University of Lagos were involved in a ghastly motor accident along the international airport Road ikeja Lagos, three reported died instantly at the scene of the accident .
According to reports, the students left from their off-campus hostel, Emerald to be precise, earlier yesterday, for the birthday of the mother of one of the girls' boyfriend., which went well. Infact one of the boys among the students proposed to the lady in the picture above Adelowotan Oluwafunmilayo, A 200L student of Quantity Surveying, who is now dead, at the birthday party.
And on their way back, they ran into a trailer. Another victim is identified as Eniola, 400L Student of Mass Communication.

Funmilayo,  is on a First Class CGPA of 4.71, she was fondly called 'Miss Green' by students and lecturers in her faculty.  The remaining unidentified victims are hospitalized. See photos below.

PATIENCE JONATHAN’S EXCESSES MUST BE CURBED

Each time the wife of the President, Patience Jonathan, hits the road with her long motorcade, including bulletproof and bombproof limousines, or is having a whale of a time at an event, drivers and commuters who find themselves on her routes always have to live with the bitter experience of the encounter. As police empty the roads of traffic, forcing drivers to wait as her glamorous convoy drifts by, motorists are trapped in traffic for hours on end, while social and economic life of the affected community is brought to a halt abruptly. 
The recent visit of Mrs. Jonathan to Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, in which her security details forcibly grounded the movement of residents, is the latest of such excesses that Nigerians have been forced to endure for the past three years. This impunity must stop.

Acording to newspaper reports, Mrs. Jonathan’s security arrangement paralysed activities in the Port Harcourt Government Reservation Area for the four days of her visit. Armoured personnel carriers were deployed at two points, while gun-wielding operatives manned the points leading to her private residence. Many people missed their appointments because they were prevented from moving in and out of their houses.
