Veteran actor Justus Esiri and Segun Arinze were robbed of their belongings at the Travelodge Hotel Surrey in UK. According to reports the actors who were in the UK as part of a performing crew of Wole Soyinka's play "The Lion and the Jewel" checked into the Hotel on arrival to the UK, the hotel had three keys, one for the clientele, the second with the manager and the third with a female Polish cleaner. On the day in question, while they were out on reheasal, they returned to the hotel only to find their belongings missing and their bags tampered with, Segun lost his Ipad, while Justus Esiri lost his international passport with Various visas in it, all his travelling documenst, laptop and some money where stolen. According to the actors the police were called in but so far no arrest has being made, to worsen the whole situation the hotel had no CCTV camera to capture the robbery.
The Nigeria mission in the UK has issued Justus Esiri a new passport on self recognition being a National Honour holder he has the Order Of the Niger. This is so sad I pray the culprits are caught as soon as possible.
So Sad to hear that this has happened to our own celebraty. I hope that the culprit would be apprehended soon, Travellodge is not an Hotel that should be taken by anyone it's like a brothel and full of Polish people they rob you off anything.
