DESMOND ELLIOT EXTOLS LATE MUNA IBEKWE'S VIRTUES

As the Ibinabo fiberesima-led Actors Guild of Nigeria-AGN prepares for the last journey to the great beyond of one of their colleagues, Muna Ibekwe who died of kidney failure, Nollywood star cum rising political icon, Desmond Olushola Elliot has extolled the virtues of the late role interpreter, Muna Obiekwe.
The All Progressives Congress' House of Assembly candidate-Desmond, whose political campaign is gathering momentum spoke about his encounter and personal relationship with late Muna.

According to him, "Muna is yet another Nollywood's iconic talent we lost to the cold hands of death due to the unfortunate fact of no welfare package for the guild, he was an astute and dedicated actor that will be missed greatly by us all. I could remember his agility and acting prowess the last time I was on set with him, I was and still shocked of the news of his death, Desmond said.
For me I think it's high time we came together to address the issue of welfare, medical and health insurance package, even though the guild's president, Ibinabo is trying to do something along that line, this is no doubt one area I'll make sure I give a shot when am elected to the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Muna's sudden and un-befitting death is so sad, the young man exhibited undying love for the crafts that's brought him fame and fortune the last time we were on set. Death is definitely no respecter of persons, that's why we have to be good to people and do our bits to the best of our knowledge and ability.
While appealing to all guild's members to come out enmasse to honour the late actor by paying their last respects to him during his burial procession, my heart goes to his widow, the kids he left behind and pray that God in His infinite mercies give other members of his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
