PRIMMY'S CORNER (OLD SKOOL VS AFROBEAT)

oky I really have being silent on my primmy's corner but believe me it's not easy juggling motherhood, business and blogging all at the same time but all in all my week was as usual eventful and not so eventful.  I took my son out shopping for a suit (he has a prom date) nothing major happened, then all of a sudden it's Friday I was excited I stayed home thinking about whether to hang out with my friends on Saturday, my friends Vicky Robort of vickie Robert hosiptality and also a fellow blogger, and my girls Betty and Clara worked hard to convince me to attend an event tagged Old skool vs Afrobeat Nite battle ft DJ Abass (UK) Vs DJ Flavour (Ireland) yeah I know really lengthy my thoughts exactly maybe that was why I was so reluctant to go but at the end of the day I was glad I did it is good to hang out with friends once in a while and let down you hair even though I have no hair Lol.  For more/photos click on read more

Got to the party at about 12.30 it was already in full swing I had fun listening and dancing to real old skool jamz. Few hours into the groove the music suddenly stopped so we can enjoy a live performance by one of naija finest  Steel popularly referred to as Sexy Steel,  walahi nobody saw it coming but it was a nice performance the only problem was that the ladies were too shy to get up and danced with him (typical naija attitude towards entertainers hisss).  Finally the man of the moment Dj Abass walked in looking cool  and casual.  Boy he is good at what he does he took us back to when music was music, real classic oldies yeah I must not forget my friend and one of the baddest DJs in Ireland DJ Flavour big ups to him for playing one of my all time favorite song Rumours by Timex Social Club.  Enjoyed the soul Train dance thanks to DJ Flavour.  We really had so much fun least I forget  Vicky and I interviewed Steel oky she did most of the talking I held the recorder and chipped in once in a while Lol, Oh mine it was interesting talking to Steel he was so cool and down to earth no airs around him now I know why they call him sexy, anybody who is down to earth in primmy's kingdom is sexy, Oh please don't give me that look I have my own kingdom and I am the king and Queen ha ha ha ha anyways back to steel I never knew he is so multi-talented a singer, designer, footballer, painter, actor name it. took some photos with him.

I finally met DJ Abass honestly he is one of the coolest DJs I have ever met not that i have met a lot of them really, oky I rephrase he is one of the coolest persons ever, down to earth, easy to talk to, friendly in a very comforting way and always has a smile for you, that reminds me he promised  me some Oldies, I have to get in touch with him asap.
I also got to see how the hospitality goddess does her hospitality thingy, attending and taking care of our celebrity guest DJ Abass, really interesting.

Finally the highlight of my day was being knocked down mistakenly by a guy, it wasn't funny, when it happened, I had on 51/2 inch heel shoes gosh you guys need to see the way I fell like a pack of cards he apologised and I accepted for one reason he was  obviously drunk ha ha ha ha ha
Today my mini me promised to teach me the Azonto, will upload a video when I have learnt enough to embarrass myself  ha ha ha ha.  Stay blessed, hugs and kissed

  4. What a nite!!! reminds one of the good old days when boys were tigers...lol. Anyway it was nice to see people in great shape, dancing their way through the nite at the oldies nite out in Duleek. Definitely, Ireland needs more of a show like this to entertain the young at heart. DJ Flavor really did a great job putting all of this together and DJ. Abass killed the nite. We still talk about it 'cos it was fun packed and we'll love to see more of it happening around here. DJ Flavor will always remain the best. This dude is down to earth and remains very humble to the game. By the way POD you are simply gorgeous... please write some more...
