NIGERIAN ARRESTED FOR STEALING GHANA



A 41yrs old Nigerian JULIAN GREEN Ijeh Nkemakonam from Edo state has being arrested in Ghana for stealing and impersonation, the suspect is said to be involved in several theft cases in hotels like La Palm Royal, Oak Plaza, and Movenpick, and plush venues used for both local and international conferences in Accra Ghana.


His method of operation is to dress up as a conference participant or a delegate, he sits through the conference and while the conference is on break, he goes around stealing IPads, laptops and mobile phone or any portable gadget.
On Tuesday June 27,2012,Nkemakonam who posed as Micheal Madu, an executive office representing Fremson Oil a non existent Company was captured on CCTV stealing at the British Council where he was participating in a training course organised for senior and middle level manager from top businesses in Ghana, he was arrested when a project assistant at the British Council Ayetey Nai Kwase reported  the matter to the police.
Chief Superintendent Edward Faakye Kumi Director of the Anti Armed Robbery (AAR) unit at the CID Headquarter said the police suspected that he sent his booty to his home country (Nigeria) or elsewhere to sell.   has been hauled to an Accra Circuit Court on four cases with the latest being the fifth case against him.
Nkemakonam is a trader and resides in Zamrama Line, Accra.
