A FEMALE TEACHER DEFILES 4-YEAR-OLD PUPIL IN OGUN STATE.

At Golden Sharon Nursery and Primary School (formerly Kingdom Sharon), located at Ijaba area of Ota, Ogun State, an incident occurred on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, that has created panic in the family of Mr. and Mrs. Johnson (not real name).

One of their twins, four-year-old Lydia (not real name), who attended the school, was defiled by a female teacher, Olajumoke Oyewole, in a fashion they suspected had ritualistic intent.

Lydia, who is a pupil of Nursery One with her twin brother, got home on Tuesday afternoon and started complaining of a nagging pain in her private part. But things she later revealed confounded her mother.

Saturday PUNCH decided not to reveal the real names of the victim and her parents because of the nature of the case.

A man believed to be in his 70s, who claimed to be a wizard, was on Wednesday found on the banks of the Okrudu River at Kaimebre, a settlement near the Kasoa New Market in the Central Region Ghana.
The man, who gave his name as Charles Atta, looked frail, pale and bore protruding breasts like that of a teenage girl.

His body was smeared with mud from the bank of the river where he was found by two brothers, Liberty Obeng and Innocent Obeng, who claimed they found the strange man crying for help.

The two brothers told Daily Guide reporters that the self-acclaimed wizard confessed to them that he was in the company of colleagues, including a medical doctor and were flying to Cape Coast for a meeting when he was forced down.

NURSING MOTHER STABS HUSBAND TO DEATH

The police in Lagos have arrested a 33-year-old woman, Biola Gbadamosi, for allegedly murdering her husband, Jamiu, in the Ikorodu area of the state.According to the police, the suspect, who is a nursing mother, stabbed her husband with a knife during an argument over rice.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the suspect and her husband, who is a Vehicle Inspection Officer, had a history of domestic violence prior to the incident.Biola, who spoke to our correspondent while fighting back tears, said she had no intention of killing her husband, adding that she only stabbed him once on the thigh.She said,

 “Jamiu and I dated for four years, but when I got pregnant this year, we did introduction and I started living with him in Idi Iroko, Ikorodu. However, when I was three months pregnant, he started beating me.“Most times, he takes alcoholic drink and he comes back home drunk and starts beating me for flimsy reasons. He even had a kidney ailment.“One day, he came home drunk, accused me of infidelity and started beating me. He said he had been told that I was going to poison his food, but I continued to endure. I, however, reported the beatings to his mother and siblings.”

22YRS OLD MAN KILLS HIS BOSS SYLVANUS OKOYE BECAUSE OF SEX

A 22-year-old man, Eji Emmanuel, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command over the murder of a 39-year-old trader, Sylvanus Okoye, who is said to be his boss. According to police, the suspect stabbed the deceased to death at his home on Ezemegbu Drive in the Okota area of Lagos.
 “I went along with a relative to report the matter to Okoye and he gave my friend and I N5,000 and shirts. He told us not to worry, so we slept over at his house. At midnight, however, Okoye came to my room and attempted to have sex with me but I refused him. 
“My relative later told me that Okoye had sex with him in the parlour that same night. We left in the morning and returned to Anambra State. From there, I went to Abuja where I remained for four months. However, one day, Okoye called me that he had a business deal and invited me to come to Lagos. 
“I told Okoye that I would not engage in any act of homosexuality and he agreed.”
The suspect, however, explained that he killed the deceased in self-defence. He alleged that on the day of the incident, Okoye had attempted to rape him, again.

15YR OLD NIGERIAN BOY KIERAN OBAZEE SHOT& STABBED IN HIS HOME AFTER BEING MISTAKEN FOR GANG MEMBER

A 15 year-old boy named Kieran Obazee was shot and stabbed on Friday Nov. 22 at his east London home by gang members in what police believe may have been a case of mistaken identity, Daily Mail reports. Fortunately, Kieran survived the vicious attack and but is in a serious condition in hospital.
Five men wearing balaclavas and armed with kives and a gun forced their way into the home in Plaistow just before 3am on Friday.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Detectives believe the attackers were looking for a member of a gang and attacked him by mistake.
This morning a Scotland Yard spokesperson said: 'The person who may have been involved in a gang was staying at the address and they may have been the target, but the boy who was attacked had no criminal background.'Shocked residents of the estate in Plaistow told how they rushed to the injured boy's aid after his terrified mum ran door to door screaming for help. One neighbour told how they administered first aid.

ASARI DOKUBO ARRESTED IN BENIN REPUBLIC

Press release from lawyer Festus Keyamo explaining that his friend and client, ex-militant Asari Dokubo was arrested in Benin Republic today. Read the press release below...

Today, Tuesday, November 26, 2013, my friend and client, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, was arrested in Cotonou, Benin Republic, around the hours of 1:00pm and 2:00pm by the country’s gendarmes (Police Force).
He was picked up around the Lubeleyi roundabout and taken to an unknown destination. We want to emphasise that Alhaji Dokubo-Asari carries on legitimate business and has been living partly in Benin Republic for many years now. In fact, he owns houses, schools and an academy in that country. All these places have been searched as at this evening and nothing incriminating was found.
We think his arrest and detention is a ploy by certain forces in Nigeria in unholy alliance with the Beninoise government to keep him away as 2015 approaches.

We call on the Nigerian government to immediately intervene and ensure that no harm befalls Alhaji Dokubo-Asari and to use all diplomatic means to secure his immediate release and safe return to Nigeria.
Meanwhile, we shall be liaising immediately with our colleagues in that country to enforce his fundamental rights.

1. Tell us about yourself?

My name is bobby michaels. I am the last child in a family of four I am an actor, singer, songwriter and film maker.

2. When did you first start acting and what inspired u into acting?

I started acting way back in 1998. I was a little over my teenage years back then. My first movie was d Zik Zulu Okafor produced “Time bomb”. I got inspired to act through my mum, who is an actress in her own rights. Watching great actors like Denzel Washington, Olu Jacobs, Sean Penn, Eddie murphy and a host of other Hollywood and Nollywood greats, helped inspire me to who I am today.

3. Did your family do to encourage you?

I was really encouraged by my sisters, brother and most especially my mum n dad.

Nigeria’s football family was thrown into mourning yesterday after news filtered in that former Golden Eaglets’ defender, Friday Njengo, who had been in intensive care at the National Hospital, Abuja for more than nine months, had died.

Njengo, a regular with the Manu Garba team during the qualifying series for the 2013 CAN U-17 Championship, during which the Eaglets thrashed Niger Republic, Guinea and Mali home-and-away, was involved in an accident with team-mate Adamu Abubakar while traveling from Jalingo to Calabar for the team’s first phase of final camping for the African Championship. The accident occurred on February 3.

 Today is a sad day indeed as emotions gave way in Akure as the Ondo State as late Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Deji Falae was buried in Akure. Deji who met his untimely death in the air crash that occurred on October 3 The Embraer EMB-120 that crashed in Lagos also bore the remains of the late Governor Olusegun Agagu. Falae and 14 others died in the incident. Before his death Deji was the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism and son of the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Olu Falae.. Mr Deji Faleye’s body was lowered into the grave after a funeral service at the St David’s Anglican Cathedral, Ijomu in Akure.
